2023 IPHS Symposium

‘Quality Over Quantity by Maximising Health & Efficiency’

 

The 2023 IPHS Symposium will take place on Tuesday, 18th of April at The Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise Co. Laois. The theme of this year’s event is ‘quality over quantity by maximising health & efficiency’. We will have a host of speakers, industry leaders and exhibitors in attendance. This event always proves a valuable information source for pig producers and across the wider industry.

14:45-15:15 How to stimulate mammary gland development and increase sow milk yield: Dr. Chantal Farmer; Research Scientist in sow lactation biology at the Sherbrooke Research and Development Centre of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.

15:15-16:15 BREAK 

16:15-16:45 Looking towards a renewable future- a closer look at viable energy options: Barry Caslin; Teagasc Energy & Rural Development Specialist.
